Currently we are looking forSheet Metal Technician. A right candidate will be a good team player with previous experience working with sheet metal and good mechanical aptitude. Working environment of a sheet metal technician is dependent on the weather and other tradesmen. Frequently the environment will be dusty and filled with hazardous materials that require PPE. Further, there are times when it is difficult to communicate due to the tools and equipment used on the job site. PPE includes dust mask, earplugs, face shield, respirator, rubber gloves, safety glasses, safety goggles, steel toed shoes. Employees work in a team environment even if they are working on a project individually; most frequently the employees work in a team to complete the project. All sheet metal technicians must refer to the International Mechanical Code, OSHA, HazMat, MSHA, as well as blueprints, shop drawings, specifications, and building codes.
Position Summary:Fabricate and assemble materials for ventilation systems. Locate leaks in ventilation systems. Measure materials and structures. Cut, bend and roll sheet metal. Operate machinery in the shop. Solder, screw, weld, and glue components. Design hangers.
Work Hours:Monday through Friday, 40+ hours per week; overtime may be required
Pay Scale:$15 per hour DOE

- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Must pass background & drug screens
- Prior experience working with sheet metal
- Ability to use forklift, skid steer and platform lift
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
