Veterinary Assistant (Entry Level) -- We will train you!
- Expired: over a month ago. Applications are no longer accepted.
My wife and I have three simple questions for you: Are you looking for a change? Do you want to feel invested and make a difference in both animals' and their owners' lives every single day? Are you looking to advance quickly in your new field and get rewarded professionally and financially for your efforts? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then strongly consider joining our family-owned and operated veterinary practice. We are bucking the trend of quantity (in veterinary medicine seeing more pets usually means more profits) over quality. We are an internal medicine and surgery-focused hospital. We have an incredible team dynamic and you will be working closely as part of that collaborative team learning from our doctors, our technicians and other assistants who were in your shoes minutes ago so they understand what it means to teach and learn. Being mentors is what sets us apart, it comes from feeling like family and feeling appreciated for what you do and knowing that your colleague and friend across from you has your back (and maybe won't let go when you're helping with that squirmy and cute but fully-armed kitten).
Our entry-level assistants will quickly learn how to hold and restrain pets, help process and draw lab samples, how to process or aid in filling food and prescription requests with doctors, how to fully use our industry-leading digital veterinary software and how to communicate at an effective level with clients and co-workers.--If that sounds easy (it'll be a little work but it's not hard), then you're right. Our assistants are also fully trained in retail and reception, this is vital as you are the first line of answers and questions should something come up with a patient. We also provide training options for Cat Friendly and Fear Free feline certifications that will stick with you personally and not just the hospital. If after a few days you love things, you are welcome and encouraged to enroll in a veterinary technician program (offsite) and when you finish it, we will pay you back.
Learning new things and jumping into a new field can be both exciting and daunting. Our team is filled with mentors and experience who can help make your transition seamless. While you're learning you'll be well-rewarded with competitive pay (based on your experience), health care, extensive pet-care benefits (can save you thousands), 401k, etc. We take care of our employees, clients and their pets as though they are all family.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
