Call Center Representative

· Responsible for answering incoming calls in professional/friendly manner, thoroughly screening, and transferring to appropriate individuals

· Work with front desk to distribute appointment calls appropriately

· Schedule new patient and follow up appointments

· Assist insurance/collection office with worker’s compensation claims

· Fax on-call schedules to appropriate facilities

· Perform other related duties and assignments as required


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: Multi-line switchboard proficiency

Previous work experience in a healthcare facility preferred

Skills & Abilities: Strong patient service / customer service skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer knowledge

Ability to file correctly by alphabetic system

Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality

Agility in multi-tasking


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen, and is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach using hands and arms, and lift boxes of up to 20 pounds. Employee must be able to view computer screens for long periods of time. Occasional stress related to workload and assisting patients with various problems.
