This role will be responsible for the execution of cross-functional projects in support of the Texas Oncology Project Management Office (PMO). The candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience with leading highly complex projects and process improvement initiatives. Additionally, this role will require extensive leadership and collaboration skills, as well as, the ability to use influence to drive projects in a highly matrixed environment
The Sr. Project Manager, TxO PMO must have the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment while supporting the organizational culture of continuous process improvement. The duties may include, but are not limited to, the completion of needs assessments, high-level business requirements documentation, risk mitigation strategy development, workflow design & documentation (process maps), project plan development and maintenance, timeline/project schedule adherence, physician and executive stakeholder communications, and organizational change management.
The ability to communicate, influence, establish trust, and demonstrate results with multiple stakeholder groups (including physicians, practice staff and business leadership), will be critical to success for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:
• Responsible for overall customer satisfaction relating to project execution within Texas Oncology.
• Drives cross-functional execution of deliverables in a timely fashion. Will need to manage multiple projects concurrently across multiple stakeholders within Texas Oncology.
• Provides project leadership to internal and cross-functional teams in order to meet project deliverables and timelines.
• Effectively plans, organizes and conducts project meetings by coordinating with the project team members to ensure project deliverables are met in a timely manner.
• Assigns and tracks project tasks/activities and reports to the management and/or customers on project outcomes. Proactively identifies and alerts management and/or customers on potential risk to the timeline and/or project deliverables. Manages expectations of the key stakeholders involved.
• Evaluates and analyzes actual project performance against established goals and plans objectives and reviews with team and management. Manages agreed upon adjustments consistent with project objectives.
• Manages timeline and resource requirements within each functional area maintaining the overall project objective and timeline.
• Formally closes out projects with appropriate hand-off's and transition plans upon completion.
• Maintains Project Plans, Dashboards and RAIDE logs as appropriate
• Responsible for detailed written and verbal communications regarding program status, issues, and escalations. Provides regular status reports to ensure senior level management visibility to project and program status

Process Improvement & Change Management:
• Manages change related to the project implementation through use of change management tools as and when necessary.
• Uses Six Sigma, Lean and other process improvement tools to assess, improve and control processes
• Develops and maintains customer, staff, and management relationships through individual contacts and group meetings.
• Manages conflict resolution among project team members to ensure successful outcomes.

Leadership & Communication:
• Exhibits leadership throughout the lifecycle of project implementation by meeting customer expectations.
• Effectively communicates with customers, key stakeholders and management on all aspects of the project and process improvement efforts etc. or any other communication necessary for successful execution of the project.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

• 4-year degree required, preferably in Business or Industrial Engineering
• Advanced degree in Health Care Services, Health Care Administration or MBA preferred
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Business Experience:
• 4+ years of project planning role experience, preferably in healthcare setting
• 4+ years formal Project Management
• 4+ years managing diverse teams

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
• PMP Certification preferred
• Six Sigma Certification and practical application experience preferred
• Excellent Project Management and Organization Skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects toward effective solutions and according to priorities and timelines
• Good analytical skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills - (communication with physicians and other senior leaders.)
• Detailed understanding and experience with process documentation and improvement
• Demonstrated experience with process definition and process improvement initiatives
• Very Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Visio and Project
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop strong team relationships and bring individuals together to focus on team goals

Working Conditions:
Office Environment
25-75% Travel may be required
