Job Description
Job Summary:An IT support specialist is the front line for a strong help desk. Duties include answering incoming support requests using industry tools, assigning tickets to the correct technicians, onboarding new hires, provisioning gear and scheduling and leading the new hire onboarding IT orientation. This position will require both in-person onsite support and remote support when needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily maintenance of macOS and Windows computer systems 
  • Respond to incoming support requests and document troubleshooting procedures 
  • Manage system and software updates on end-user systems
  • Provision/deploy/de-provision macOS and Windows systems
  • Maintain conference room AV equipment and assist users with presentation preparation
  • Track and maintain IT assets
  • Respond to printer malfunctions and alerts and schedule service appointments
  • Maintain documentation for IT duties, including solutions and workarounds for common issues
  • Hardware upgrades and repair, including scheduling repairs with OEM suppliers or local repair services
  • Technical training of new employees on basics of core systems and capabilities 
  • Participate in testing of new technologies before deploying to the entire organization

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced, and at times stressful, environment
  • Proficient with agency tools (e.g., Slack, Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, etc.)
Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least three years of related experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
Travel Required:
  • Some driving around Austin may be required for computer equipment delivery and shipping
