Job Description

Mayvin is seeking a Financial Analyst II with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. This role will assist the Financial Services Division management and other staff members in all office activities and operations as assigned.

 

Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Must undergo a background investigation (BI)

 

Responsibilities:

  • Processes financial documents and transactions using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS)
  • Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office Management and Budget circulars
  • Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds
  • Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures
  • Involvement in budget execution during a fiscal year budget cycle
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements

Qualifications:

  • Four-year undergraduate degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
  • Three years of experience reviewing and analyzing annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures
  • Three years of experience in analyzing information and making recommendations
  • Three years of experience in budget execution during a fiscal year budget cycle
  • Three years of experience in preparing and presenting a status of funds for higher-level management
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with superior Excel skills (V-look up, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Government Agency budget/financial experience
