Site Reliability Engineer

Our direct client is looking for a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Job Title - Site Reliability Engineer
• Location : Pleasanton, CA
• Type : Contract
• Work Schedule: Remote

This role requires the candidate to perform troubleshooting, incident resolution, and prevention within the content management system (CMS) for the Digital Customer Experience. As a member of the application support team, the candidate needs to be able to support and maintain applications written in Java, shell scripting, and utilizing common full stack web modern technologies.

Qualifications:

7+ years of IT experience focusing on Domain, System and Infrastructures, sub systems and application integration and of significant programming experience using various standard scripting languages

Strong understanding of each Domain: data integration, systems programming, and information technology

Strong experience using scripting and/or programming languages - Java and/or Perl

Understanding of different application architectures, including client-server, three tier and modern technology web services.

Ability to understand underlying infrastructure and cloud technologies for IT services.

Experience in issues related to network and internet security.

Excellent knowledge in application performance monitoring

Strong knowledge of Web related technologies including DNS, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL

Some experience with Windows administration of Users, Groups, Policies, etc.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Collaboration tools, MS/Outlook, MS/TEAMS, SharePoint, JIRA, Confluence

Knowledge of monitoring tools such as AppD, BMC, DataDog, Splunk, SiteScope, ExtraHop, Fluke

Familiarity with Cloud technologies (Azure, Adobe/AEM, Bloomreach, PCF, AKS)

Familiarity with ESP, Spark (job processing)

Familiarity with Database structure (SQL, Cosmos)
