Job Description

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a global commercial strategy manager with Excel and PowerPoint superpowers to generate and articulate data-driven insights and action plans for an executive audience. We are seeking a Manager with great:

  • Business and finance acumen
  • Quantitative modeling (Excel)
  • Presentation building (PowerPoint)
  • Interest in the toy industry

What Your Impact Will Be:

  • Use your Excel and PowerPoint skills to generate and articulate data-driven insights, frameworks, and action plans for an executive audience.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership in commercial, brand, finance, marketing, supply chain and IT to optimize our operations, grow our power brands, and expand our brand portfolio
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to drive innovation and executional excellence across Mattel’s global commercial operations.
  • Collaborate with leadership to unlock the full value of our IP, with franchise management and e-commerce.
  • Use your organizational and leadership skills to set and lead meetings at regular cadences across numerous drivelines and advance transformative programs in timely intervals.
Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a Manager with great:

  • Business and finance acumen
  • Quantitative modeling (Excel)
  • Presentation building (PowerPoint)
  • Interest in the toy industry

About You:

  • You have been trained and worked as an analyst or associate at a leading global professional services firm (e.g., banking, consulting).
  • Acquired valuable skills working alongside the very best for two or more years.
  • Built numerous presentations for senior executives at high-performing industry-leading companies.
  • You may have otherwise attained a high degree of competence in business analysis and presentation building.
  • You have the organizational skills to set and lead meetings at regular cadences across numerous drivelines and advance transformative programs in timely intervals.

Experience:

  • +2 years analyst or associate at a leading global professional services firm (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, private equity).
  • 6-years in a professional work environment
  • Otherwise attained a high degree of competence in business analysis and presentation building
  • Built numerous presentations for senior executives at high-performing industry-leading companies
  • Toy, video games, or entertainment industry experience a plus
  • BA / BS degree from a top university or college a plus
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus
  • Relevant agile, program management and delivery qualifications/ certifications a plus

Skills:

  • Strong in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Perform advanced analysis & tackle complicated problems
  • Ability to generate and articulate data-driven insights, frameworks, and action plans for an executive audience.
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex ideas effectively with structured and simple messages.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace, with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Ability to recognize and deliver high-quality output
  • Project management and leadership
  • Lead workstreams with minimal supervision
  • Proven success partnering with key stakeholders and building relationships
