Salary Range: $100,000 to $110,000 Annually. Salary will be dependent upon experience.
Job Summary:
This position will require the project manager to prepare and/or oversee the preparation of survey deliverables, coordinate with clients and related design professionals as well as oversee the efforts of team members. Responsible for processing and verification of survey data, preparation of survey drawings, as-builts and construction stakeout deliverables, as well as creating design support surveys, topographic maps, subdivision plats, land survey plats, Right of Way Plans and ALTA Land Title Surveys.
Essential Functions:
- Research information required to carry out new surveys using source maps, previous survey data, online resources and other relevant information.
- Responsible for analyzing property boundaries in compliance with state statutory requirements.
- Responsible for the preparations of legal descriptions for Right of Ways and other easements.
- Compile survey computations with applicable standards to determine adequacy of data.
- Analyze/process field information required to create design support surveys, consisting of 3D topographic, planimetric and utility mapping elements.
- Compile information necessary for construction staking, using engineering plans.
- Prepare proposals for various survey efforts and manage schedules.
- Manage projects workflow and status to the fulfillment of the project contract/agreement.
- Manage project budgets and invoicing to the fulfillment of the project contract/agreement.
- Approving project time entries, invoice drafts and subcontractor/vendor invoices.
Competencies:
- Experienced in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center and Microsoft Office
- Accomplished ability to read, and understand, survey data of record.
- Accomplished ability to read, and understand, engineering and architectural plans.
- Complete knowledge of land surveying and equipment capabilities.
- Complete knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, and construction staking
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and self-motivator
- Ability to take direction, work independently and with a team
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee team members efforts for your projects.
Education and Experience:
- Professional Land Surveyor Licensure
- Minimum of five (5) years of survey project management experience
- Minimum of twelve (12) years of surveying experience
- Accomplished with Trimble field equipment preferred
- Experience with Trimble Business Center
