Senior Snowflake Developer

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Senior Snowflake Developer for our client in the Financial Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract (possible extension)

Location: Durham, NC or Westlake, TX (Hybrid – (3 days onsite per month))

Role Description: The Senior Snowflake Developer must have at least 3+ years of experience.

Must Have Expertise:

• Design, Develop and optimize large scale data analytics solutions on Snowflake data platform.

• Hands-on development experience in writing complex SQL and stored procedures in Snowflake.

• Must have development experience in ETL/Batch pipelines integration with Snowflake data warehouse and various AWS datastores using Python, Apache Spark, Java and Snow SQL.

• Must have proven experience on AWS cloud services like Lambda, S3, GLUE, SQS, EC2, VPC (network concepts).

• Proven experience with Snowflake concepts like staging layer patterns, external tables, Snow Scheduler, Snow Pipe.

• Modernize existing data platforms using Snowflake by query performance tuning.

Nice To Have:

• Data Engineer – Knowledge of ETL/Informatica

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Travel: No

Local Preferred: Yes

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)
