Pentaho Developer

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. Duration: 6+ Month Contract

Location: White Plains, NY (Initially Remote, then Onsite)

Salary: $52.00/Hourly on W2

Role: Pentaho Developer

Primary Skills: ETL

Role Description: The Pentaho Developer must have at least 5-9 years of experience.

Required Experience and Skills:

- Analysis skills: Analyzing Data feeds and interfaces from a wide variety of systems.

- Experience on developing AWS Lambda and API and Pentaho ETL tool.

- Development of ETL processes, ETL control tables, error logging, auditing, data quality, etc.

- AWS Lambda experience in serverless implementation and APIs

- Demonstrated skill and ability in the development of data warehouse projects/applications

- Strong understanding relational database concept and well familiar with SQL and stored procedure

- Expertise in writing technical designs, developing, unit testing, and break fix support of ETL and SQL objects

- Good understanding of data warehouse schemas

- Strong understanding in change data capture and Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)

- Skilled in performance tuning, analyzing query plans and query tuning, partitioning

- Fast learner, able to diagnose technical challenges through reading code and supporting technical documentation

- Strong troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work within a changing environment

- Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills

- Good presentation skills

- Positive attitude and team focus are required

- Familiarity with the version control tools (such as CVS, Dimensions, TFS)

- Team player with the ability to communicate effectively (Verbal/Written)

Required Skills:

- TALEND ETL, Clover ETL and Pentaho Data Integration

Domain Skills:

- Industrial Manufacturing & Manufacturing Oper-Manlog

Nice to Have:

- Pervasive ETL Data Integrator, SQL Developer, SQL Server Domain Skills, Technology Data Management

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
