IS Development Specialist (Trainer, Course Developer)

Chelsea, MA

The MWRA is looking for an IS Development Specialist who designs, develops and delivers training, communication and application products and services in accordance with department standards. Provides day-to-day user support, troubleshooting and special projects assistance.

The work includes developing and deploying custom multi-media and paper-based training products for all levels of users and computing environment/platforms; soliciting input from MIS staff and users on information systems, related customized documentation and training needs; developing and maintaining train-the-trainer application products; conducting skills assessment needs analysis as required to design customized training documentation; delivering classroom and one-on-one training to users as required; developing multi-media and Intra/Internet products, which address business/user requirements in compliance with SDM and Change Control Procedures.

The position requires a four year college degree program in a computer science, education or related field is required; and four to seven years experience in computer education, technical writing, software development and/or related field; or any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
