MEDICAL ASSISTANT, MIT Medical (multiple openings), to assist physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients during and between office visits and other tasks. Will serve as the primary liaison between clinical staff and patients; play an active role in preparing for the daily operations of patient visits and for implementing key activities; lead twice-daily huddle sessions to ensure all pertinent patient information is communicated between all clinical staff and have all appropriate materials available so that care is delivered effectively and efficiently; and manage HealtheLife (patient portal) requests, ensuring that patients comprehend medical treatment information provided by each provider, and using the best medium to follow up with each patient to ensure treatment plan compliance. Positions are available in ght Primary Care or Medical Specialties Service areas.
REQUIRED: graduation from an accredited medical assistant program or medical assistant certification (AAMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA); two years' experience in a related physician's office setting; excellent critical thinking, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and diplomacy skills; ability to comply with established risk management and safety procedures and with all local, state and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations; sound judgment and problem solving ability; accuracy and attention to detail; ability to maintain CPR certification and participate in site-based CPR drills; and ability to prioritize tasks and see them through to completion in a complex and busy environment. National medical assistant certification preferred. Job #18082-510/7/19
