Job Description

 Our client is in the automotive injection molding space and seeking a 2nd shift Assembly Manager (M-F 3pm to 11 pm) to join it's operations. This person would report directly to the Plant Manager and oversee all of the Assembly department. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plan, organize, and regulate the production and maintenance operations.

· Implement manufacturing strategies and actions for the accomplishment of plant production goals and within budget.

· Analyze performance of the assembly processes.

· Utilize manpower, facilities, equipment, materials and assets to ensure minimal manufacturing errors and achieve customer quality and delivery objectives.

· Make recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, cost savings, and quality of work.

· Monitor and take necessary action to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations

· Prepare and present information to President, CEO, leadership team, customers or potential customers, etc.

· Analyze and solve problems.

· Conduct housekeeping for personal work area and shared facility space.

· Attend/participate in all scheduled training and educational programs identified for this position.

· Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in products, processes and/or quality systems

· Verify the implementation of solutions to ensure successful resolutions

· Contain non-conformities and alter process until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected

· Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of non-conformities in products, processes and/or quality systems

· Identify and record any problems in products, processes and/or quality systems

· Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through established systems

· Verify the implementation of solutions to ensure successful resolutions

· Contain non-conformities and alter process until deficiency or unsatisfactory condition is corrected

· Ability to effectively lead and supervise people.

· Ability to read and interpret documents.

· Ability to analyze data and prepare detailed reports and correspondence.

· Ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

SUPERVISORY

· Interview candidates for managerial positions.

· Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable laws.

· Assist/conduct appraisal of supervisor performance.
