This position is on-call with potential to become a regular full-time position as business needs dictate. Driver will work either a 7:00 am to 3:30 pm shift or 11:00 am to 7:30 pm shift.
Overall purpose of the position: This employee is responsible to ensure the truck is loaded with the items shown on the manifest, to transport the goods to pre-assigned locations in a timely manner and to offload the truck with strong customer service methods. The employee will pick-up and receive retail vendor donations and transport these to the warehouse for processing.ducation: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. A valid driver’s license is required as well as an MVR showing no prior DUI/DWI’s and fewer than 2 points against the license. Additionally a CDL A license is required to drive MFB trucks over 26,000 pounds with the same license requirements as described below.

Experience: At least 2 years commercial driving is preferred. A valid driver’s license is required as well as an MVR showing no prior DUI/DWI’s and fewer than 2 points against the license. The ability to read, write and speak English is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
50% Transportation: Safely drive MFB vehicles to assigned sites to arrive at specified times.
40% Logistics: Ensure truck has required items prior to leaving the warehouse. Once at client site, off load the delivery, using strong customer service skills. Ensure appropriate signatures are obtained at client sites.
10% Administrative: Maintain accurate daily vehicle inspection and receiving logs.
Essential Working Conditions
The employee will carry out some of the job duties from a warehouse environment with fluctuation in temperatures and potential for loud noise and will carry out the rest of the job duties either inside a truck or outdoors at client sites. Temperatures and noise will fluctuate during this time on the job as well.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Also must be able to push/pull pallets weighing up to 2,000 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
