Job Description

Martel's Grill & Bar is looking for a Sous Chef to join our team! Are you responsible, a team player, and have a positive attitude? You will thrive in our fast-paced kitchen where we work hard and have fun while putting out delicious food consistently.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day culinary operations
  • Coordinate with Chef on food and kitchenware orders
  • Check freshness and quality of ingredients
  • Assist in the development of menu items
  • Learn standardize recipes and plate presentations
  • Train new hires
  • Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years experience in culinary arts, cooking,
  • Knowledge of cost and labor systems
  • Passion for food and cooking techniques
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Catering/Banquet experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time
