The Senior Manager, Digital & Social
Marketing will play a key role in creating the strategy, establishing key
performance indicators, and executing digital marketing and social media
initiatives for Marriott's Classic Select Brands. The assignment will focus on
SpringHill Suites and two of Marriott's Longer Stay brands - Residence Inn and
TownePlace Suites. The assignment will also support the digital and social pull
through of the Longer Stays category campaign "Room for Possibility". The role
will be a core member of the Global Marketing Optimization organization and
Classic Select brand teams driving strategy and execution for digital and
social media marketing tactics to primarily deliver brand consideration
initiatives supporting these brands. In addition to other duties assigned, this
role will manage the comprehensive digital eco-system consisting of dedicated
brand sites, campaign sites, digital advertising, presence and
many social media experiences spanning brand and hotel level on key platforms
like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and more. This role will report to
the Senior Director, Digital & Social Marketing (Classic Select Brands) and
partner closely with key members of the Classic Select brand team, global
marketing, mDigital, public relations, external agencies, key hotel
stakeholders, and the field/continent organizations.

Education and Experience

5-7 years of digital marketing and social media marketing.
College degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field
Knowledge and passion for the Lifestyle and travel space is a plus

Experiences applicable to the Job

Demonstrated experience with digital marketing and advertising execution
Demonstrated experience with managing website and mobile projects
Demonstrated experience with Social Media marketing, monitoring, management,
content and advertising
Demonstrated experience with digital campaign analytics and reporting
Solid understanding of digital marketing trends and industry best practices
Solid understanding of mobile and tablet industry platforms, devices and
Understanding of paid search, SEO, and website measurement and analytics
Proven skill in working across multiple and distinct functional organizations
(e.g., brand marketing, ecommerce, international) in support of specific

Digital and Social Media Marketing:

Responsible for
crafting strategy and prioritizing, managing, supporting and executing digital
marketing strategy initiatives (brand website, social media, paid media, search
engine marketing, initiatives, field support) to support the Classic
Select Brands.
Work autonomously to author and drive digital strategy for brand level
initiatives while also providing strategic guidance for regional campaigns
covering over 1500 hotels worldwide.
Responsible for providing regular communication to agencies on digital
marketing initiatives related to website, social media and advertising.
Direct oversight of brand website and longer stays website strategy,
optimizations, and day to day maintenance.
Oversee and drive strategy and workflow of digital marketing and advertising
campaigns supporting the digital brand strategy.
Work with creative team to oversee strategic initiatives related to social
media strategy, including influencer activations.
Oversee content creation and approval of editorial calendar.
Liaise with internal social media teams to collaborate on best practices and
customer care integration.
Monitor and report out on digital marketing landscape trends and competitor
Provide regular direction and communication to internal Paid Search and SEO
teams to maximize the performance of campaigns.
Manage the creation and execution of brand positioning updates to hotel websites.
Create streamlined information for internal reports/audits/analysis of digital
marketing performance (including but not limited to, Brand
Website, Social media, Paid Media, Search) as well as create compelling
marketing and reporting presentations
Oversee digital dashboard creation, KPI definition and alignment, and
regularly report out performance and learnings to key stakeholders and
executive team
Manage digital marketing budget by brand
Support and liaise with the field organization and other team members on
digital marketing best practices to ensure digital strategy alignment.
