Senior Consultant, Remote (Southeast Region)

Headquartered in Silicon Valley, MarkLogic has offices throughout the United States, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region. Our Professional Services team is looking for multiple consultants to support our growing team across the US.


The Senior Consultant partners with our customers to understand and enable them to solve their data pain points with MarkLogic-based data management, search and analytics solutions. Our consultants are dedicated to enabling customer success.

  • Work individually or as part of a team on delivery of MarkLogic based solutions remotely or at customer sites
  • Provide expert guidance on the implementation of operational data hubs on the MarkLogic Platform
  • Participate in requirements definition, system architecture design, and data architecture design
  • Conduct white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings building strong stakeholder buy-in
  • Develop code and data pipelines to ingest relational databases, file shares, web services, and real time streams
  • Develop code to harmonize disparate data sets into canonical models for analysis and operations
  • Participate in all aspects of the software life cycle using Agile development methodologies
  • Become our customer's trusted advisor through strong and effective working relationships
  • Provide leadership for your team, colleagues, and your customer to achieve Positive Customer Outcomes
  • Advocate for MarkLogic's adoption, use, and expansion with customers
  • Be responsive to stakeholder feedback with respect to ease of use, performance, and capability of the end systems
  • Operate effectively and judiciously with minimal supervision
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters' Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience in enterprise information solution architecture, design, and development
  • Experience with Git/Git Flow/Bitbucket and modern source code management methodology
  • Experience with Javascript, Java, C+, .NET, or other programming languages
  • Experience with JSON or XML data modeling
  • Knowledge of multiple programming environments, debugging tools, and test tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sense of ownership, urgency and drive
  • Domain knowledge of NoSQL or relational database
  • Experience developing enterprise grade production software
  • Experience administering software applications in Linux operating environments
  • Understanding of database architecture and performance implications
  • High capacity for learning new technologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
Desired Qualifications

Previous experience with MarkLogic

  • Experience designing and implementing server-less, micro-services architecture on a major cloud platform
  • Web development experience with React, Vue.js, Node.js, and other technologies
  • Experience with AWS or Azure modern data architecture technologies
  • Experience with MuleSoft, Boomi, NiFi, or other integration technologies
  • Experience in developing Mobile Web applications
  • Experience integrating Business Intelligence applications like Qlik Sense, Tableau, or PowerBi
  • Experience with analytics tools like SAS, R, Python, and other advanced statistical software
  • Experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Deep Learning algorithms
  • Experience working with content or knowledge management systems, search engines, relational databases, NoSQL databases, ETL tools, geospatial systems, or semantic technology
