Under the guidance of a senior team member, applies and builds quantitative research skills, including, instrument design, programming, distribution, collection monitoring, data cleaning, analysis, and reporting. Effectively manages internal client relationships, working with the research and travel teams to best serve external clients.

Scope
The Maritz Cross-Business Research Team conducts approximately 300 studies per year in support of the design, sale, operation, evaluation, and retention of Maritz Division/Company client business. In addition, the team may be utilized by Maritz for overall internal research and analysis needs (Voice of the Employee, internal service quality, event feedback, business transformation projects, etc.). With management oversight, the research project manager progressively operates research projects on our jointly-developed research products and custom research solutions. The research project manager works effectively in a small team environment--demonstrating independence in conducting tasks while seeking assistance from senior team members, an ability to handle multiple projects/tasks, a willingness to learn, and a willingness to be a team player and assist other team members, as needed. The Research Project Manager may also contribute in an analytical role on special projects as requested by management. No direct reports. No budgetary responsibility.

Reporting and Working Relationships
Reports to Director, Research Services. Works closely with operations and sales staff (internal clients) in the delivery of research services. Interacts/coordinates with other Cross-Business Research Team members, seeking assistance as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Collection, Analysis and Reporting: Responsible for the data collection process of projects assigned, including list management/cleaning/upload and survey blasting. Responsible for ensuring data quality. Conducts a variety of basic analytical techniques for reporting utilizing web survey and statistical software as appropriate. Applies/grows skills in effective reporting/visualization of information.

Intake, Design and Programming: Works with senior staff and business account team members in identifying and clarifying research/analysis objectives. With senior staff guidance, develops survey design skills. Utilizes web survey tools for survey programming.

20%
Project Management: Manages research/analysis projects and/or tasks assigned to enable the team to achieve cost, scheduling and quality measures. Responsible for keeping senior staff informed of progress, seeking assistance as needed.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of research industry experience in a business environment required. MMR/MA/MBA strongly preferred. New MMR/MA/MBA graduates with relevant coursework considered.
2. Demonstrated understanding of the quantitative research process to understand and inform business issues.
3. Demonstrated analytical skills, including intermediate understanding and use of statistics.
4. Above average writing skills, both mechanically and per accurate, to provide easy-to-understand interpretation and reporting of research information.
5. Demonstrated competency in software necessary to operate in a business environment, including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and email. Experience with SPSS statistical software and web survey programming software strongly preferred.
