JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for all aspects of contract administration to include adherence to performance, schedule and cost to include contract change pricing.Handles multiple complex contracts at one time, negotiations and disputes.Interprets contract language.Responsible for supervising contract administrators and admin staff.SUPERVISES: Contract Administrators and Administrative AssistantsESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Serve as the primary contractual point of contact for all active projects.Establish strong working relationships with relevant Government contracting officers and contract specialists to discuss progress, quality, costs or other contractual performance and adherence issues.Supervise, coach and develop coworkers supporting active contracts.Review reports and provide assignment and instruction for daily activities.Provide direction and review of contractual solutions to projects while assisting in the review of project, staffing, and management plans.Lead the... identification and resolution of any actual or potential contract and/or risk issues.Facilitate preliminary dispute resolution to maintain customer satisfaction and bring prompt closure to contract disputes.Provide expertise on the scope of items allowed through assigned contracts and current regulations on proving prices fair and reasonable.Review and assist with negotiation efforts for various contract activities.Review contract modifications for accuracy and completeness.Coordinate with accounting to resolve any funding or billing issues and assist with data validation for financial review meetings.Day-to-day contract administration duties such as facilitating and negotiating change in scope and other contract modifications.Gathers pricing data and prepares contract change pricing, submits to the customer and negotiates the change pricing.Conducts initial contract review for acceptance of proposed/negotiated price, schedule and other terms and conditions.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESOversees training of new Contract Administrators, and Assistants.Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in business administration or accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 10 years of federal government contracting experience to include knowledge of FAR/DFARS.Good organizational skills.Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills.Must be capable of performing detail-oriented work.Requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.WORKING CONDITIONSOffice environment.Duties of this job require sitting for long periods, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs., motor coordination skills, ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, the ability to express ideas using the spoken word, and requires the perception of speech.The specific statements shown in each section of this description are not intended to be all-inclusive.They represent typical elements of criteria necessary to successfully perform the job.Marine Hydraulics International, Inc. is an at will employer.EOE/Disability/Vet
