Job Description

We are seeking a construction project manager to assist in the organization and management of our marine construction projects. This is a salaried management position working primarily from an office setting.

JOB DESCRIPTION –Project Manager – Marine Construction

Experience in residential marine construction administration would be ideal. A person who has spent time in both the field and the office is the best fit for this position. The Project Manager is the primary link between the organization and the client, as well as company team members such as job site foreman/superintendents. This individual will work closely with owners and other project managers to achieve company goals. Highly developed interpersonal skills are required. Ideal candidate will bring their advanced experience to help us grow and scale the company to new levels. Teamwork, employee and project management, along with a "Can Do" attitude are key to the candidate’s success.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Be proven in all tasks related to the Residential Construction Project MGMT. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop employees work Schedule
  • Material Acquisition – Purchasing
  • Resource Planning: Equipment and Employees
  • Communicate with customers and vendors daily
  • Billing
  • Ensure Compliance with contract specifications and notifications.
  • Plan and Drafting Knowledge would be a plus
  • Team member – must work well with other managers and co-workers for job completion
  • Employee management

EXPERIENCE

You should have a minimum of 5 years of experience working in marine construction or home improvements field. Management of various scales of projects and employees is required.

Computer literacy is essential; we use Office 365 and Sage. You will need to know how to do material take-offs, solicit bids from suppliers, estimate labor costs and assemble information in Excel. Invoicing and purchase orders are done using Sage software.

Must be able to communicate very well with customers and employee’s schedule of work. Be able to work with on site supervisors to schedule equipment and materials in advance. Reconcile and code invoices to project budget to ensure job profitability.

PROJECT CLOSEOUT: Organize project close out and punch list with Field Superintendents.
