General Summary

The Finance Manager will lead all global finance processes to ensure that the organization is effectively

planning for, spending, and monitoring expenses in support of our mission. This includes our annual

budgeting process, serving as a liaison with all departments to monitor spending versus budget,

analyzing all spending for opportunities to reduce expenses, and preparing documents for the annual audit

and 990 tax forms.

Duties & Responsibilities

1.
• Annual Budgeting

 Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of the annual budget process.

 Manage the entire budget process within Accounting System

 Prepare the financial modeling for all government funding sources

 Configure and refine cost center coding in Blackbaud
• Monitor Budget Variances

 Serve as the liaison with all departments to track monthly expenditures versus budget

 Analyze spend and vendors across departments for opportunities to reduce overall expense

 Perform quality control assessment of all spending to confirm spend classifications

 Track restricted fund spending against donor intent

 Create month-end and ad hoc reporting for all stakeholders

 Serve as the Blackbaud reporting specialist
• Annual Audit and 990

 Manage the preparation for the Audit and 990

 Prepare, coordinate, and collect requested PBCs and schedules for the annual audit

 Enter 990 details into the Auditor portal

Job Description
• Oversee the Grants and Contracts process

 Manage the Senior Finance Analyst, Grants and Contracts

 Review all budgets and invoicing submitted for grant income
• Manage the Accounting for Development Income

 Work directly with Development team to track Development income

 Oversee the transfer of information between Raiser's Edge and Financial Edge

 Reconcile Development Income, on a monthly basis

 Identify and set-up all restricted funding per donor intent
• Contribute to the MSV team

 Act with integrity and aspire to model our Core Values in the delivery of all services.

 Contribute as a key member of the Finance Team, back-up colleagues as needed

 Support and regularly participate in Program events

 Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned.

 Insure confidentiality of all financial and payroll information

 Continually identify opportunities for process improvement

Job Requirements

Experience/Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or equivalent of minimum of five years of experience in small

business or non-profit environment.

Qualifications
• Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access (or similar), third party databases ad hoc

reporting, and creating program files to import and upload data.
• Experience with Blackbaud and ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Excellent organizational, collaborative, analytical, written communication skills.
