Print Production Manager - Flexography

Leading, privately owned label printing and converting company in the Minneapolis region is busy. The company is searching to hire a Print Production Manager for day shift.
Responsibilities include:

• Accountable for the supervision of 25 employees in a busy narrow web flexographic prepress and printing operation, including all supporting equipment in converting, rewinding, and inspection areas.
• Plan and direct the job duties for supervisors and their direct reports to meet departmental and plant objectives.
• Responsible for scheduling jobs and maintaining the quality produced in all operations.
• Supervise the efficient operation of all equipment.
• Continually improve quality, efficiencies, waste and cost reductions.
• Use data to make fact-based decisions.
• Ensure accurate reporting of time and material consumption.
• Support the hiring, developing, training, and reviewing of all production employees.
• Promote safe working practices and procedures.
• Work closely with VP of Operations on production requirements to meet and/or exceed client expectations.

Qualifications include:

• Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory or leadership experience in Flexographic Label printing operations using narrow web flexography .
• Experience using Continuous Improvement/Lean Manufacturing Practices in a print manufacturing environment to improve processes and reduce waste.
• Experience making decisions based on data.
• Strong leadership experience.
• Strong employee mentoring and training skills.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Visible and active on the manufacturing floor.

Starting salary range $110,000 - $130,000 + benefits, 401k and relocation pkg.
