Marbles Kids Museum and IMAX Theater opened our doors in 2007 with a mission to spark imagination, discovery and learning through play. Today Marbles ranks among the top destinations in North Carolina, offering hands-on, minds-on learning experiences. 

Position Overview: Marbles new exhibit iMagiFAB, is a space where kids can imagine, design, build, and create through play.  This internship will focus on the CREATE space and give experience in facilitating art experiences, interacting with families in an informal education setting, and upkeep of materials and spaces. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Collaborate with the Engagement Team to facilitate hands-on, creative art experiences in the CREATE iMagiFAB space, both planned and based on visitor interested. 

• Research and assist with development of future art education programming in the space. 

• Support Engagement Team in material and space care, storage, and upkeep. 

Qualifications: 

• Preferred working degrees are Art Education, Fine Arts, Early Childhood and Elementary Education; other degrees with an interest or experience in art education considered. 

• Experience working with children ages 1-5 years, preferred 

• In possession of an outgoing, friendly demeanor; someone who enjoys/is comfortable with approaching and speaking with people of different ages and background 

• In possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills 

This is a part-time, unpaid position 10-15 hours per week.
