Customer Operations Specialist
The Customer Operations Specialist position is to provide customer service focused account management and distribution support for the medical channel. This position utilizes standard computer software applications in order to effectively answer questions, communicate with the institutional channel, and execute orders with specific focus on hospital customers about the distribution and logistics of products.
•Creates and manages orders and generates operational reports including updating monthly metrics. Daily interaction with customers via written and phone communication.
•Displays strong interpersonal and communication skills when dealing with internal and external
Customers and adapting behavior and response to situation. Proactively seeks to develop relationships with key contacts, both internally and externally.
•Effectively manages hospital accounts and orders per approved departmental procedures.
•Proactively identifies problems and offers alternative solutions. Takes personal responsibility for any decisions made.
•Generates customer scorecards and reports that will be presented in Customer Business Reviews.
•Works with Sales Representatives, Manager, and Analyst to identify deviations in performance metrics and works to improve service, quality and value for our customers.
•Demonstrates thorough understanding of distribution logistics by coordinating product delivery through a variety of sources.
•Actively participates in a team-based, collaborative environment by recognizing and taking full
advantage of the team’s complimentary skills, experience and perspective.
•Follows through on commitments to customers (internal and external), while achieving individual and team objectives.
•2+ years of Account Management experience required
•Logistics and Distribution knowledge strongly preferred
•2+ years of phone customer service experience preferred
•Problem solving skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and participation in cross functional teams.
•Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel including Pivot Tables) is required
•Good organizational and time management skills
•Ability to work with Sales and other support areas, to ensure resolution to customer issues.
•Knowledge of SAP Order to Cash preferred but not required or equivalent data entry software experience
