The New Equipment Business Development Manager is accountable for all aspects of turbomachinery New Equipment business development and account management. Market segments include ASU, hydrocarbon, LNG, He/H2 and emerging/adjacent applications. The incumbent is accountable to deliver growth in ASU and hydrocarbon, with additional emphasis on maximizing LNG market window. The role has accountability to position Rotoflow for continued New Equipment growth through multi-year commercial planning and market strategy. He/she will leverage and influence peers in product development and marketing functions to focus on margin improvement, blue ocean offerings and asset loading, and position sales team members for success. This role reports to the General Manager and participates on the Rotoflow and Gardner Business Unit Leadership Team. It is responsible for 3-4 direct reports including extensive mentoring to team members and peers in areas of negotiation, contract management, legal compliance, relationship management, selling strategy and market development.
This position will be accountable for the following end results:
+ Build and develop a high performing New Equipment team
+ Business development and selling for turbomachinery New Equipment
+ Accountable to achieve yearly order intake target consistent with margin expectations
+ Lead the organization through cross functional bid development activities
+ Negotiation of commercial agreements to manage risk and maximize benefits
+ Long term account and relationship management with emphasis on repeat business
+ Enable growth of Aftermarket business via New Equipment selling
+ Identification of market needs and gaps to support product development activities; strong influence on marketing and product development organizations
+ Prioritization of resources and approaches to maximize impact; develop bid selectivity matrix to focus resources on high probability wins
+ Build network across other AP business units to identify early opportunities and leverage positions of strength
+ Leverage EPC relationships for pre-RFQ awards of business, and/or preferred technology solutions
+ Champion sense of urgency, market and results driven approach across team members and peers
+ Champion diversity and inclusion
+ Bachelor's degree (Technical degree not required)
+ 12+ years of business development experience with global remit
+ Experience with rotating machinery a plus
+ Experience with Middle East and China a plus
+ Demonstrated examples of negotiating with major EPCs
+ Demonstrated examples of product introduction or geographic market development
+ Experience building and developing teams
