Senior Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) ManagerWe have partnered with a well-known and highly respected global manufacturer and service leader of pace-setting machines in their search for a Senior Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS) Leader. This is a highly visible and influential role within a world class organization in which the safety and health of their workforce is the top priority in everything they do. They have been previously named as one of the safest companies to work for in America and the Milwaukee site was recognized as a Finalist for the Wisconsin Corporate Safety Award in 2019 and 2020.If you are looking to join an industry leader with a very strong team based culture and to serve in a challenging/supported leadership role while leading and transforming innovative EHS programs/initiatives based out of a brand new state-of- the art headquarters and manufacturing site, this is the opportunity for you!Core Accountabilities:Provide EHS leadership and support to 900+ employees (manufacturing/production & office) while driving all strategic and tactical EHS deployment activitiesProvide effective leadership and direction to the EHS team (4 EHS Specialists) with a strong commitment and focus to increasing the level of capabilities and resultsWork as part of a global team of EHS leaders to develop globally standardized programs, policies and procedures, tailored to each regulatory frameworkIdentify action based EHS goals for site leadership team members, functional managers & front-line leaders to help achieve the site's EHS targets/objectivesOversee all investigations into incidents to ensure root cause is understood, corrective actions in place & all steps taken to ensure there is no repetitionManage security activities and security contract providerRequirements and Desired Qualifications:Bachelors of Science Degree in Industrial or Occupational Safety, or equivalentMinimum of fifteen (15) years of EHS Leadership within the manufacturing sector (industrial, construction, and/or heavy manufacturing) Union experience is strongly preferredDemonstrated ability to develop and deploy strategy which aligns with overall business objectives and prioritiesAn acute understanding of EHS regulatory standards, interpretations and directives including OSHA, EPA, DOTDemonstrated experience in creating a safety culture based on leadership, accountability and a systematic approach to continuous improvement of EH outcomesCommunication - Demonstrated high level of communication which allow for effective engagement of senior leaders, operational leaders, employees and external stakeholders.

Clear, concise written and verbal communication skillsAbility to effectively manage EHS continuous improvement in unionized work environmentDrive Change - Must possess the inherent skills to drive change, must be strategic yet tactical, and creative yet fundamental, and able to work in a difficult and timely situations as wellExperience in managing on-site security and security contractors is preferred, but not requiredCertification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygiene or related certification would be valued, but not required
