Manoa Cottage Care Homes has been taking care of our Kupuna for over 25 years and is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated and creative Activity Coordinator to add to our team. Our Adult Resident Care Homes with expanded care is located in the beautiful Manoa Valley. Be among caring staff, great residents and family members and strong management support. Each of our three cottages house up to eight residents in a familiar, home-like setting, surrounding a central courtyard, garden and koi pond.

Job Summary:

The Activity Coordinator is responsible for planning, directing, and executing activity programs to meet the creative, social, physical, and intellectual needs of the residents.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time: 40 hours per week | 8-hour Day shifts | May require extended hours or weekends.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • College/University Degree preferred
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certification required
  • Previous experience in recreational or residential activity programs in a healthcare setting preferred
  • 2 Step TB clearance or Chest X-Ray (with proof of positive results) required
  • Health Evaluation clearance (within the last 12 months) required

Each of our three cottages house up to eight residents in a familiar, home-like setting, surrounding a central courtyard, garden and koi pond. Families are encouraged to visit at any time and private gatherings can be accommodated on-site for special occasions (birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc.)

We pride ourselves on providing exceptional care administered by a team highly trained, professional and (most importantly) caring staff. Certified Nurse Aides provide 24/7 assistance with activities of daily living. Licensed nurses work with a team of health care professionals to attend to the medical needs of each individual resident. Our activities and events coordinators plan daily activities, special events and resident outings according to the wishes and abilities of the individual. Each day homemade meals are prepared from scratch, by our Chefs, according to the nutritional needs and desires of the resident. Manoa Cottage is a small locally owned and operated family company that takes great pride in the quality of care provided to our residents.
