SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking a Government Account Executive for our telecom client in Portland, OR and Boise, ID. This person will be responsible for identifying opportunities, and developing government sales in current and next-gen wireless communication solutions.
- Recommend current and next-generation wireless telecommunication solutions, products and services to government customers.
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with top- and mid-level officials.
- Identify, access and call on key decision-makers, using creative sales approaches and strategies to develop new accounts.
- Utilize strategic thinking and innovation to create opportunities for technological change based on customer needs; create, deliver and follow up on proposals and pricing quotes; and successfully close sales opportunities.
- Provide customers with expert knowledge and assistance in mobility changes, cost/benefit analyses, implementation and training plans.
- Understand and stay current on emerging wireless products and services, as well as general industry trends.
High school diploma/GED, Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- 3+ years selling to State and Local Government Accounts (SLED) is preferred
- Record of achievement in meeting / exceeding goals in a commissioned sales environment.
- Wireless systems, telecom or high-technology industry experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills required.
- Extensive travel within geographic area required, up to 90% or more.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, use of CRM Sales Management tools.
