Malthandling is a privately-owned organization that sells and installs custom designed grain handling packages, primarily within the craft brewery and craft distillery industries. Malthandling sells equipment all over the world and provides installation and training service for a large spectrum of equipment- including milling equipment, weighing and conveying equipment, automated controls, pumps and pipe fitting, chiller/glycol systems, dust collection systems, multiple types of welding and much more. We are constantly looking for talented personnel, and we are currently seeking individuals with experience in commercial equipment assembly and/ or installation, or relatable skilled trades such as carpentry, pipe fitting, millwright or brewery/distillery experience.
The individual would need to be able to travel regularly, with the flexibility to leave home for 5-10 days at a time on average and must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for commuting locally. Compensation will be $25.00/hr, and 1.5X for OT based on relevant experience. Malthandling travels year-round, providing hundreds of hours of overtime per year.
Malthandling is currently looking for full-time employees to fill open spots. We are looking for individuals that have experience with equipment assembly/installation, or other skilled labor trades to assist with field installations across the US. Experience in customer service, project coordination, purchasing, sales administration or relatable fields would be a bonus.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Duties, responsibilities and scope
- Strong Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of power tool use.
- General construction knowledge, carpentry, pipe fitting, mill right experience a plus, welding also a plus
- Project management and leadership abilities, professional attitude.
- 90%travel (Lodging and travel paid) Meal per diem included
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required (to office, to airport)
Equipment Installers will be responsible for placing and assembling grain handling systems from shop submittal drawings, and system layout diagrams. Ideal candidates will understand hoisting and moving equipment, safe work practices, and possess general knowledge of the load-bearing capacity of structures.
Installers will need to be able to read layout diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures to properly assemble and dismantle equipment, using a wide spectrum of power tools.
Installers will preferably have a general understanding of mechanical equipment. System equipment includes roller mills, hammer mills, hoists, pneumatics, valves, cylinders, pumps, weighing equipment and electrical controls.
