Painter

We have an immediate opening for a full time Painter in Torrance, CA. The painter will provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Primary responsibilities are to maintain the condition of the facility by painting, patching, drywall and other general maintenance tasks assigned. The technician will also complete repairs and maintenance of walls, floors, doors, furniture and various general tasks assigned. Qualified applicant's must possess a valid driver's license and have at least 3 to 6 years of hands on experience in painting and dealing with a wide range of general type services. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Repairs of walls, doors, ceilings, furniture, wall paper and drywall.

Painting of the interior and exterior of the facility as directed.

Performs a wide variety of corrective maintenance work request to ensure executive office areas are maintained.

Performs routine inspections of a corporate hotel, rooms, offices, kitchens, conference area and the corporate headquarters facility on campus to develop a task list/work orders for areas needing attention.

Work Schedule

Must be able to work Weds thru Saturday 6:00 - 4:30pm or we are flexible to accommodate Thurs thru Sunday 6:00am - 4:30pm.

Education

(HS Diploma, Under/Graduate Degree, etc.)

HS Diploma

Business Experience

(prior years work/related experience)

3 - 5 years of experience related to facility maintenance.

Licenses/Certifications

Valid US driver's license

Must provide proof of COVID vaccination.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.

Technical Qualifications & Skills

Ability to perform various painting task and repairs along with general type maintenance tasks. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence utilizing basic computer skills and ability to communicate via email and internet use.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Basic knowledge of repairing/installation of drywall, wall paper, flooring, carpentry and furniture repair skills.

Ability to follow instructions and complete a variety of general maintenance type tasks assigned.

Basic use of computer skills for reporting, researching and effective communication.

Ability to patch, paint and cut-in both interior and exterior areas.

Time management skills to manage and complete the daily routine tasks assigned.
