Electrician

Malace|HR is seeking an experienced Electrician to work onsite at an automotive manufacturer in Salem, VA. The Electrician will be responsible for building maintenance. The role is on 1st shift and pays $25-27 per hour

Qualifications/Responsibilities

• You have the skills to install and repair electrical conduit and wiring
• You have the experience and ability to install and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems and motors ranging from 24V up to 480V
• Your experience reading electrical schematics, troubleshooting both PLC systems and lighting systems, along with your experience in high voltage systems in substations makes you a subject matter expert in your field and helps us to deliver Best Results to our clients
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills, able to manage time and priorities to assist with multiple projects
• Excellent attention to detail, craftsmanship, and 5Ss
• Minimum 7 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
• Training equivalent to journeyman status or electrical certification
• Proficiency using maintenance planning software packages such as eMaint, MP2 or Maximo
• Experience performing work safely both indoors and outdoors
• Experience and willingness working weekends
• Experience and ability to safely lift items up to 70 lbs
• Experience working in hot and damp environments, wearing PPE, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and standing
