Supply Chain, Los Angeles - Workroom Manager

Job Overview:
 

We are conducting a search for a talented Workroom Manager, who is motivated to assist the Director to provide leadership and is responsible for day to day building operations. Perform other duties as necessary.

 
Essential Functions:
  • Manage, coach, develop and provide leadership for associates on a daily basis.

  • Monitor and review expense and budget.

  • Work with vendors to resolve quality issues and improve packaging standards.

  • Develop strategies to minimize returns/exchanges.

  • Audit quality of performance of technicians and cabinet shop associates.

  • Work with other facilities to insure quality and accuracy.

  • Insure vendor charge backs are processed accurately.

  • Analyze returned merchandise to insure proper coding.

  • Insure quality of service is provided by outside contractors.

  • Maintain inventory integrity through proper coding.

  • Delivery damage claims program.
  • Maintain OSHA standards regarding hazardous materials.

  • Participation in employee relations activities.

  • Any other responsibilities management deems essential.

  • Regular, dependable attendant and punctuality. 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 

  • One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.

  • Knowledge of TIA and BTR.
  • Knowledge in furniture repair.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.

Mathematical Skills:
  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and analytical skills.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:
  • This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.

  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

  • May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time. 

  • Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.

  • May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.

Other Skills:

  • Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team. 

  • Strong leadership profile and excellent negotiation skills.

Work Hours:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
