We are conducting a search for a talented Workroom Manager, who is motivated to assist the Director to provide leadership and is responsible for day to day building operations. Perform other duties as necessary.
Manage, coach, develop and provide leadership for associates on a daily basis.
Monitor and review expense and budget.
Work with vendors to resolve quality issues and improve packaging standards.
Develop strategies to minimize returns/exchanges.
Audit quality of performance of technicians and cabinet shop associates.
Work with other facilities to insure quality and accuracy.
Insure vendor charge backs are processed accurately.
Analyze returned merchandise to insure proper coding.
Insure quality of service is provided by outside contractors.
Maintain inventory integrity through proper coding.
- Delivery damage claims program.
Maintain OSHA standards regarding hazardous materials.
Participation in employee relations activities.
Any other responsibilities management deems essential.
Regular, dependable attendant and punctuality.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
- Knowledge of TIA and BTR.
- Knowledge in furniture repair.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and analytical skills.
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking.
May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time.
Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds.
Ability to collaborate and function as a member of a team.
Strong leadership profile and excellent negotiation skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
