Summary

The Production Control Planner is responsible for supporting production supervision and master production schedulers in meeting daily build requirements for Mack Technologies Florida, Inc. This position is 100% on-site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and execute the production scheduled based on the MPP.
  • Work with purchasing to review material shortages and determine recovery to the plan.
  • Monitor the progress of product through the floor based on product mix and facilitate meetings as necessary.

  • Drive cross functional resolution of all issues that impact manufacturing.
  • Have a very strong understanding of cross-functional responsibilities to assist in problem definition and resolution with all departments.
  • Reconcile work orders by reviewing Bill of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECO's), material transactions etc.
  • Document process using ISO9001 principles.
  • Understand sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
  • Initiate cross-functional resolution of all issues.
  • Assist in ensuring successful new product and ECO introductions into manufacturing.
  • Review the build plan, determine material status and release shop floor work orders according to the plan.
  • Work with operators to provide schedule impacts to deviations, Engineering Change Order (ECO's), and purges.
  • Assist with resolving bottlenecks and down line situations.
  • Report all daily build information against the plan.
  • Understand sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates.
  • Work with Purchasing to review material shortages/exceptions and determine recovery to the plan as required. Assist Purchasing with any other issues as required.
  • Provide scheduling to machine shop for specific customer products as necessary.
  • Prepare material status reports to keep cross functional team members informed.
  • Process product release notices and review planner backlog.
  • Responsible for tape and reel, in-house or send out.
  • Interface with purchasing, operations and engineering.
  • Interface with customer and participate in meetings as required.
  • Lead work-in-progress (WIP) inventory at fiscal year-end.
  • Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) teams.
  • Participate in quality meetings as required.
  • Attend quarterly program reviews.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Supply Chain or related field and 3 + years of related experience in in high mix manufacturing environment preferred.
  • APICS' CPIM or other relative inventory management certification a plus.
  • ISO certification a plus.
  • Knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), inventory control, shop floor systems and control and capacity planning.
  • Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent business tools/ applications knowledge (i.e. Email, Excel, MS Word etc.)
  • Strong problem solving, creative thinking and workstation skills.
  • Self-motived, ability to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to operate in a multi-tasking, highly dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
  • US Person as defined in 22 CRF Part 120.15 (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees and those given asylum in the United States, and temporary residents granted amnesty) since work includes ITAR controlled technical data.
