Job Description

Project Manager – GC - Hospitality

Highland Consulting Group is a national recruiting firm that specializes in recruiting extremely well qualified individuals for our clients.

We are working with a National General Contractor in the Washington, DC area that is recruiting for an experienced Project Manager.  Successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager working on large scale Hospitality projects.  This contractor focuses on Retail, Restaurants, and Hotels.  This position requires traveling on average of about 25%

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages and supervises all phases of assigned projects
  • Prepare and manage schedules
  • Estimate Change orders
  • Negotiate all change orders and maintain change order logs.
  • Manages project budget and approves all expenses
  • Contract Administration
  • Buyout of subcontracts & Equipment
  • Interface with the owner on all projects assigned
  • Assemble and maintain complete project records and close-out documents
  • Perform project punch-list inspection(s), in coordination with superintendent and the owner’s representative, and issue punch list to all relevant subcontractors
  • Stay in contact with past clients for repeat work

Job Requirements 

  • Solid communication both verbal and written
  • Ability to establish timelines and budgets
  • Experience in cost estimation and negotiating
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to lead productive, multi-disciplines meetings
  • Solid, proven and verifiable record of career stability and project management success is a must
  • Experience working with high end retail, restaurants, and hotels is extremely preferred
  • Experience: 5 years experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor on projects larger than 10 million dollars
  • Travel to projects as needed
