Accounting & Finance Manager

Our client, an innovative science e-commerce company, is seeking a motivated and integrity driven accounting professional who possesses killer organizational, analytical and communication skills. Desired candidate must have experience in AR/AP and a working knowledge of sales tax and HR functions. We are looking for a dynamic individual that is looking to grow with our company, be a leader, and is ready to make a positive contribution from day one!

The Role

Support the accounting and finance department in the following daily tasks:

• Receive & process vendor invoices
• Apply customer payments & record daily deposits
• Perform daily close out of cash/credit purchases
• Receive and process customer credit applications

Supervisory responsibilities

• Review A/R Aging report and manage department collection efforts
• Administer sales tax software and supervise sales tax processes
• Assist in administering HR benefits

Requirements

Education and / or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferable or Bachelor of Business Administration with minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting related position. Understanding of sales tax, credit issuance, and working knowledge of HR functions a big plus.

Professional:

• Ability to manage several projects
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• 3-5 years working knowledge of Microsoft applications
• Experience with accounting software to include ERP systems a plus
• Enjoys people and likes working with a cohesive team (prior management experience preferred)
