The CDS Specialist is a full-time position in Mankato, MN with day time hours. This position will allow you to give back to the community while having flexibility, full-time benefits, training, and advancement opportunities!
The Client Directed Services (CDS) Specialist is required to understand and implement all of the processes required for the CDS program. Market the program's services to county personnel and clients/representatives in private and public forums. The CDS Specialist promotes and maintains a strong customer-focused culture and remains current with legislative changes that affect the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Understand the CDS programs and communicate details of all of these programs to clients, representatives, families and county personnel.
Promote systems that ensure appropriate and timely service and maintain a strong customer-focused culture.
Work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions based on understanding of the CDS program, DHS rules and regulations, and county guidelines for financial management of federal, state and county funds.
Follow legislative changes and county trends that effect MRCI's CDS programs and work with the individual counties/DHS and other providers to develop best CDS practices and procedures.
Process Service Agreements into Systems.
Complete Medical Assistance eligibility checks monthly.
Update databases as necessary for new enrollment or changes in information.
Input new budgets and process budget revisions.
Track spending, assist with monthly program requirements as well as all other processes that are apart of providing service to the department's customers.
Foster a safe and healthy work environment by following all safety practices and procedures.
Secure confidential information to protect staff, clients and proprietary knowledge.
High School diploma required, Associate's degree preferred.
In lieu of Associate's degree, three year's related experience in the areas of customer service and direct service to clients.
Strong writing, reading and interpersonal communication abilities.
Proficiency in computer based office software including Microsoft Office products.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong problem solving and reasoning skills.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
