The Regional Account Manager - West works closely with the Vice President of Business Development and key stake holders within MPE to grow revenue within the respective territory and in line with company goals and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES, AUTHORITIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Uses knowledge of customer, competition and MPE differentiated value to uncover customer needs and create value based solutions.
Leverages technical and business acumen to fluently manage sales conversation with key decision makers within target accounts.
Audible ready in moving the sales conversation across multiple buying audiences.
Engages in effective two-sided discovery through great questioning and attentive listening.
Effectively builds and leverages customer relationship throughout the buying and selling process.
Articulates an understanding of the customers buying environment (pains, market, trends, initiatives)
Works effectively as a team member and drives the sales opportunity by providing leadership and orchestrating internal and external resources.
Rigorously prospect for new business at target accounts assigned in territory and follow up with in-bound leads.
Develops and executes sales account strategies aligned with MPEs objectives aimed at profitable sustainable revenue growth.
Consistently builds an effective pipeline and executes on each phase of the sales process in order to consistently achieve year-over-year revenue growth plan.
Responsible for growing revenue within assigned territory, meeting sales goals and developing strategic partnerships within MPE customers and target accounts.
Communicate customers needs internally and provides the necessary leadership in preparing internal key state-holders in developing compelling proposals / quotes that meet customer needs.
Responsible for managing CRM content for territory including but not limited to:
Opportunity pipeline funnel management
Lead follow through
Leverages independent sales representative in respective territory for demand creation within target accounts.
Performs industry, market and competitive analysis anticipating customer needs for the continuous improvement of marketing and sales strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree plus minimum five years of sales / sales management experience required.
Background in medical devices preferred or technical background in manufacturing environment
Must possess in-depth knowledge of managing complex sales process and managing multi-divisional account(s).
Proven ability to develop & execute sales strategies.
Must have excellent verbal (presentation) and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skill and experience with Microsoft excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience working with independent sales reps a plus.
Located in California or Denver, CO a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present and respond to questions from customers, executives, strategic partners and key stake holders with the organization.
