Senior eCommerce Strategist - (up to 20hrs/wk) Remote OK

Job Description

Do you have demonstrated experience driving direct-to-consumer sales on ecommerce platforms? Do you consider yourself an expert with marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Chewy, Jet, etc? If you are ready for a challenging but rewarding opportunity putting your expertise to work for emerging brands, this position may be for you!

We are seeking a Senior eCommerce Strategist to join our team. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing key market information, as well as implementing current strategies to increase company revenue and brand awareness.


  • Conduct market research to determine the potential of current products
  • Perform analysis of market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
  • Create and manage product listings across 3rd party marketplaces
  • Plan and implement marketplace SEO and PPC efforts
  • Deliver price and offer strategy recommendations
  • Create off-marketplace landing pages to grow the net new customer base for the company’s brands
  • Evaluate reviews for rating changes and product improvement opportunities
  • Translate complex data into simple graphs and text

Sample Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Ongoing Competitor and Market Analysis
  • Keyword research and search optimization of the listings
  • Help create, manage, and optimize new listings, including content production
  • Paid Advertising Management - Including Sponsored Products, Headline Search Ads, Display Ads, AMS, DSP/Video
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the mechanics of all backend tools, processes and systems (the use of third-party software tools to build out, promote, and drive revenue for new as well as existing listings)
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on marketplace performance metrics, sales, competitive listings, and pricing
  • Conduct AB testing on ads, listings, and other variables
  • Review customer feedback and marketplace health, updating processes as needed
  • Proactively identify product, service, and marketplace issues and resolve them accordingly
  • Work with internal and external resources to ensure products are accurately described and priced within the business’ overarching brand objectives
  • Increase listing visibility and traffic through marketplace tools and promotions
  • Uncover and execute new initiatives within each marketplace that will improve the customer experience and increase overall business. Recommend promotions, new product configurations to improve revenue
  • Build relationships with key players on all marketplaces
  • Track weekly marketplace performance metrics and implement strategy to improve them
  • Lead projects and objectives that improve operations within each marketplace
  • Share campaign, competitor and performance insights


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 4+ years’ experience within eCommerce marketplaces and selling direct-to-consumer ( and experience required. International marketplace experience a plus)
  • Strong track record of proven results and experience in managing $50k+/month ad spend budgets, along with solid data-driven decision making
  • Expert in operating Amazon Seller Central with proven record and hands-on experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to plan strategically, and to manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Excellent content creation skills
  • Ability to create, analyze, and comprehend marketplace data and sales analytics for use in forecasting, production, and communication with others
  • Experience with product listings, data feeds, and web analytics
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fluid, fast-paced team environment while meeting critical deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of the digital ecosystem, and how web, mobile, social, search and e-commerce channels work together to optimize behavior, acquisition, and sales
  • Strong understanding of segmentation and Google Analytics as well as experience using third party email marketing programs (Klaviyo preferred)
  • An analytical mind willing to work to better understand the cost of customer acquisition and incorporating the business hard quantitative needs with the qualitative reach the brands seek to achieve in terms of growth and awareness

This is a ​Part-Time W2 position.
