Job Description

MFI is a busy and growing multi-family flooring company based out of Kent, WA. We are seeking motivated Outside Sales Representatives to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and meeting sales targets. No experience (Required) We will train and work with the right people. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the sales arena and grow with a company or for someone who is looking for a new challenge.


Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  1. Building and maintaining relationships with customers: A flooring salesman is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and positive word-of-mouth. This includes visiting customers in their homes or businesses to provide product information, samples, and quotes.

  2. Identifying customer needs: A flooring salesman must be able to identify customer needs and recommend the best products and services to meet those needs.

  3. Providing product knowledge: A flooring salesman must have a thorough knowledge of the products and services offered by the company, including the different types of flooring materials, installation methods, and maintenance requirements.

  4. Creating estimates and quotes: A flooring salesman is responsible for creating estimates and quotes for customers, taking into account the type of flooring, the size of the area, and any additional services required.

  5. Closing sales: A flooring salesman is responsible for closing sales and ensuring that customers are satisfied with their purchase.

  6. Following up on leads: A flooring salesman is responsible for following up on leads and converting them into sales.

  7. Keeping records: A flooring salesman must keep accurate records of customer interactions, sales, and inventory.

  8. Staying up-to-date with industry trends: A flooring salesman must stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in products and services, to ensure that they are able to provide the best advice to customers.

  9. Collaborating with other departments: A flooring salesman may work closely with other departments such as installation, customer service, and accounting to ensure that customer needs are met.

$200 monthly auto allowance

Compensation is a base salary to start (4-6 months, training and customer-base building), transitioning to full commission. Health Benefits/401k after 90 days.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, invested in customer-rep relationship building, goal oriented and looking to grow with a company.
