Human Resources Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Assistant supports overall service delivery for all functional areas of human resources to assist in the day-to-day operations.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
• Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources department
• Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
• Coordinate with manager on HR projects
• Deal with basic employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations
• Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews
• Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees
• Assists in sourcing candidates and update our database
• Maintains accountability of assigned property, adheres to required property control policies and procedures
• Assists the HR Manager in policy administration and special events
• Performs other duties as assigned within the individual’s scope and capabilities.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma with 1-3 years of experience in an HR administrative role
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software
• Excellent organizational, communication and prioritization skills
• Hands-on experience with ADP HR and Recruitment platforms is a plus
• Basic knowledge of labor laws is also a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to communicate with simplicity and clarity, both written and oral.
Ability to complete assigned tasks with little oversight.
Ability to be guided by the company’s accepted principles of moral conduct.
Have an approachable and appropriate demeanor when interacting with all levels.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information.
