This position earns a competitive wage of $22.00 - $32.00/hour, depending on experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUILDING CONDITION ASSESSOR/INSPECTOR
As a Building Condition Assessor/Inspector at Tribal One Architecture & Engineering, you will be traveling on short site visits (typically one week of less) to in and out of state U.S. Government facilities (to include DoD installations) to inventory and assess existing buildings and infrastructure. Requires understanding of construction drawings, building materials and systems including structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and finishes.
With an agile team supporting you, you will perform field work to collect facility condition data for the property, including inspecting, measuring, classifying, and photographing buildings or equipment efficiently and accurately. You will also record facility condition data and enter into database efficiently and accurately following standards and guidelines. This position will transfer and store digital property photographs accurately. You will interact with property managers and other members of the assessment team, communicate effectively in verbal and written form with administrative staff, appraisal staff, supervisors and managers, including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisors, other employees, governmental agencies, professionals, builders, and the public. You must be able to work independently in an efficient and organized manner and meet deadlines and goals. Additional duties may be assigned as determined by management depending on the project or the office requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BUILDING CONDITION ASSESSOR/INSPECTOR
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of experience in the construction or real estate industry.
- Ability to solve practical problems using a variety of basic mathematical techniques.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills, including MS Office applications, email and file management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and complete assignments in a timely, accurate manner.
- Ability to identify standard construction materials and equipment.
- Ability to travel out of state up to 50% of the time.
- Required to read blueprints and maps, and operate a computer, tablet and/or cell phone.
- Requires visits to facilities, construction sites, negotiating uneven terrain, bending, kneeling and climbing stairs during on-site inspections.
- Ability to access government installations requiring a background check.
- US citizenship.
- Valid driver's license.
