MDH has over 30 years specializing in the care of adults with developmental disabilities; we currently have multiple openings to serve our clients in the Whittier and surrounding areas.

· Provide transportation as needed in company van.

· Support individuals with recreational activities. Creating content for the clients. Being able to communicate with Admin’s as well as program director.

· Promote independence and individual growth.

· Someone very outgoing who enjoys uplifting those in need.

· Lots of encouragement, redirection.

Partial Requirements:

· High School Diploma or GED.

· Valid CA Driver's License and current auto insurance.

· Able to pass criminal background and medical/drug clearance checks.

·One to two years care-giving experience

IMPORTANT INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW

Your focus as a Community Support Professional will be to support individuals with developmental disabilities in gaining the skills they need to actively participate and safely integrate into their community.

You will be guiding our individuals throughout the community, assisting them in following their schedule, preparing them employment, continuing their education, improving health and wellness and learning essential social skills.

A daily schedule will be provided. It is important to practice time management and be on time to activities and work sites.

Program ratio for individual to staff is 3:1, 2:1 or 1:1 depending on the need of the individual.

We will have a company van that you will use from time to time. if needed to use your car you would be reimbursed mileage.

UPON BEING HIRED EACH STAFF WILL HAVE ON-THE-JOB TRAINING WITH A FEILD TRAINER

Experience in the following fields a plus: Assisted Living, Behavior Aide, Caregiver, Care Giver, CNA, DD, Developmentally Disabled, Job Coach, Direct Support Professional, DSP, Elderly Care, Senior Care, Hospice Care, ILS, Residential Care Aide, Respite Care, Special Education, Special Needs, SLS, Driver, Mover, Shuttle, Teacher, Part-Time.

Pay: $17.50-$19.50
