Who We’re Looking For: We’re seeking a motivated Sustainability Specialist with 2-5 years of relevant professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
The right hard-working Sustainability Specialist will provide sustainable consulting services within the firm, primarily for projects seeking certification through LEED, but also serve as a subject matter expert for sustainability by providing information and expertise regarding sustainable strategies, conducting material research, guiding building performance analysis, track key metrics, and supporting sustainable education efforts. Successful candidates will be able to share their passion for and dedication to getting the job done and confidently represent the firm, including committing the firm on schedule and cost matters within approved parameters. What You’ll Do: Our new Sustainability Specialist will make use of the technical tools and oversee the tracking of all contracts and support building performance analysis and internal sustainability program management.
MCN Sustainability Specialists develop and present sustainability related topics for staff education and grow firm-wide resources. Sustainability Specialists also maintain knowledge of energy and sustainability related regulations/certification programs and help track and maintain the project data required. What You Bring to The Table: Bachelor's degree in engineering, Architecture, or a related field2-5 years of relevant professional experienceKnowledge of OSHA safety regulations is requiredLEED Accreditation with specialtyExperience developing and implementing sustainability concepts and strategies as demonstrated through actual project or program workStrong knowledge of LEED and project management, gained through directly relevant project experience and educationAnalytical thinker with strong problem-solving skillsStrong writing skills and technical presentation abilityProven effectiveness coordinating with contractors, architectural team, and consultantsUnderstanding results from building performance software preferred including but not limited to: Daylighting; energy analysis, and Life Cycle Cost Analysis.
