DESCRIPTION

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the efficient promotion and profitable sale of Mitsubishi Wire and Sinker EDM machines, Lathes, Milling and other Machining equipment. Working within a geographical region, the RSM will solicit new business through developed leads and existing dealer networks. They will work closely with management to develop best practices in marketing and promotions in the region. This person will develop strong relationships with existing customers to increase knowledge of EDM programs and services available. Successful candidate will manage the territory and lead the team to success. Territories consist of the following States: IL, WI, MN, IA, ND, SD, MO, KS, NE.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Dealer and Direct Sales Network to increase sales.
  • Develop sales plans to maximize profit, increase sales volume and maximize territory coverage.
  • Work side by side with dealer sales channel to promote and sell MC Machinery products.
  • Key account management.
  • Continually assess market conditions with regard to pricing, and competitive action and policies.
  • Business travel required for customer visits, dealer visits, MMS Headquarters, trade shows
  • Responsible for coordinating all demonstrations and test cuts with the proper personnel
  • Maintain proper records and submit reports to management.
  • Assist management in adjusting territories and dealer choices.
  • Participate in management meetings to share information and insights from the field.
  • Adhere to establish company policies with respect to pricing, obtaining signed sales orders and all required information, trade-ins, demonstrations and test cuts, loaners/rentals purchase options and expenses.
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Working knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong MS Office suite- Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Sales Force
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years’ experience minimum in machine tool sales.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or related field preferred.
  • Industrial product sales preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

Job operates mainly indoors, but exposed to changing weather conditions, such as extreme hot or cold, rain, sun, wind, etc. This job also works near moving mechanical parts and the noise level is moderate to loud. This position generally has a lot of driving so ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver’s license is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Repetitive use of the hands and typing are required. Requires frequent lifting of 1-10 pounds and occasional 11-25 pounds with infrequent lifting of 25 or more.
