Civil Engineering Technician

Duties / Responsibilities

• Prepare construction documents from engineer redline drawings, municipal as-built drawings and topographic/boundary surveys under minimal supervision
• Employ company design standards and efficiently prepare base files
• Maintain accuracy and quality while adhering to project schedules
• Suggest and/or develop additions or improvements to existing templates, styles and design standards
• Be able to read and apply City Land Development Codes and standards
• Apply concepts and expertise to serve as a civil site designer as experience allows

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other professionals, colleagues, and clients

Qualifications:

• An associate’s degree from a technical school for computer aided design and drafting, or equivalent
• Proficient in AutoCAD® Civil 3D is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office® and BlueBeam®.
• Experience with various Municipal Land Development codes and standards
• Prepare surface files with existing and proposed elevations along with generating cut/fill sheets

Compensation and Benefits

• Work hours are 40 hours per week with overtime available. Summer hours (Memorial Day to Labor Day) Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:30, Friday 8:00-12:00
• Hourly pay to be determined based on experience
