SAP Key User

SUMMARY:

Expand your professional portfolio as a SAP Key User with our client in Greer, SC. As the SAP Key User, you will be responsible for supporting and engaging in the development of detailed business concept. This individual will be responsible for ensuring execution of the software systems and material flow to support production and logistics, with regards to material flow and inventory control. The SAP Key User will troubleshoot, identify root causes (hardware and software), and resolve issues as necessary. Additionally this role will ensure compliance to logistics processes, company targets, and global requirements.

Our client, a premier automotive company, is located in the upstate area of SC. This is a long term renewable contract opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in Inventory Control, Business, Computer Science or a technical area
    • 2 years or equivalent experience in a manufacturing logistics function
  • 2+ years of experience in a logistics function or materials management to preferably include material flow management, SAP parts ordering, goods receiving, or demand/consumption
  • Experience with SAP
    • Demonstrated experience with development and business analyst tasks
  • Experience with greenfields / start ups (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written
    • Experience working in international teams
  • Ability to speak German, Spanish and Chinese (preferred)
  • Experience in warehousing / physical logistics (preferred)
  • Must be flexible for short-term travel and working some weekends

RESPSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor production WIP's to ensure continuous flow and smooth transition of inventory to meet sequence, throughput and volume goals
  • Monitor and control the internal production processes for all logistics processes through the use of SAP IM/WM software controlling systems
  • Monitor replenishment systems and interfaces with telegrams between PLC’s and SAP
  • Monitor various inventory reports in SAP
  • Steer future development and implement activities related to replenishment systems- In terms of new requirements and enhancement needs
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships with all manufacturing technologies and management teams to ensure uptime and volume targets
  • Act as a proxy for other physical logistics systems analyst in their absence
  • Ensure that SAP IM/WM software systems activities and strategies are aligned to support goals and targets
  • Ensure data accuracy (error codes, inventory, log files, control cycles, etc.) through audits and resolves discrepancies as require
  • Resolve errors and faults of the hardware/software
  • Lead physical logistics in regards to systems testing, systems development, and structure changes, and responsible for go-live checks/changes
  • Physical logistics "key-user" responsible for work instruction development/accuracy, training other users, approving systems access, and approving business change requirements
  • Act as liaison between business operations and IT developers
  • Help define business process requirements
  • Review system design documentation
  • Do User Acceptance Testing for new releases
  • Train key users and end users on new system releases
  • Create defects and IT tickets, daily communication with IT process partners
  • Create change requests for system improvements
  • Configuration in SAP system
  • Support roll-out of new releases (testing, training, implementation)
  • Support LSP key users on shop floor incl. process confirmations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by operations supervisor
