Plant Manager

SUMMARY:

Expand your professional portfolio as a Plant Manager with our client in Augusta, GA. As the Plant Manager, you will address production, quality, personnel, safety, customer, and regulatory issues in a timely fashion as required. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an applicable discipline required (I.e. Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Medical supply, Management, Operations)
  • 10+ years manufacturing experience in a medical or related industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in a significant leadership role in a plant required
  • Technical skills in GMP techniques, process improvements, and materials management
  • Experience with FDA (preferred)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assure that organizational quality objectives are met
  • Monitor and direct daily and ongoing plant operations
  • Address production, quality, personnel, safety, customer, and regulatory issues in a timely fashion as required
  • Ensure all plant personnel are operating in compliance with plant and corporate procedures
    • Address any non-compliance immediately
  • Develop and execute plant-specific strategic vision and objectives to assure alignment with corporate vision and objectives

  • Promote employee engagement, training and development to maximize safety, quality, and productivity
  • Provide leadership for assessing and enhancing plant capabilities
  • Develop a culture of open, honest, and valued communication and involvement of all team members
  • Maintain and support prescribed programs of employee relations, health and safety, training and development, compensation, and benefits for all employees in the plant
  • Conduct regular (probably weekly) meetings with plant staff to ensure solid communication among all appropriate personnel
  • Handle regulatory, production, quality, employee, customer, and safety issues that arise, as required
  • Ensure compliance with Company GMPs, all government regulations (FDA, OSHA, EPA, FSMA, etc.), customer-required practices and procedures
  • Ensure the plant and products meet customer specifications and exceed customer expectations, and interact with customers as needed
  • Work with current and future customers to develop an environment of mutual trust and understanding establishing
  • Insure that job descriptions are up to date and that reviews are conducted on a periodic basis, at a minimum annually
  • Communicate and escalate plant operations status with the President
  • Expected to work the required hours needed to execute the duties and responsibilities of the plant manager position and set an example for all the employees
  • Attend corporate meetings, including production, quality, and projects
  • Participate in continuing education to develop skills needed to enhance and maintain job performance
  • Must be available on ALL shifts to show presence from leadership team to the employees
  • Other duties as needed
