Part Time ­Counter Sales Representative

Job Summary

The PT Counter Sales Representative will interact with the company’s customers by addressing inquiries, processing orders, resolving complaints, and assisting dispatcher. Potential to lead into Full-Time position. MDI Rock is a Landscape Rock and Construction Materials Supplier

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Customer service experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

· Interacts with customers via telephone, email, online chat, or in person to provide support and information on products and/or services.

· Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services.

· Fields customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.

· Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns.

· Answers incoming calls on a multi-line telephone system.

· Maintains calm communication with and provides assistance to incoming callers.

· Balances all monies in cash registers.

· Maintains lobby and front office area in a neat and orderly condition

· Flexible Schedule

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Excellent verbal communication skills.

· Ability to execute directions accurately and with speed.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate.

· Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.

· SAP Business One and/or Quickbooks or other POS experience

· 10 key proficient

· Bilingual - Fluent Spanish a plus (read, speak and write)
