MAS Advertising, Inc. is a fast growing Sales and Marketing firm in the San Jose area and we are looking for an amazing Sales Management Trainee to join our team. This is an entry level position where you would grow in the business from the ground up. You will be responsible for driving sales of our clients' products and services, developing marketing strategies, providing excellent customer service in major retail venues. Your position includes helping us reach and exceed company goals, while also helping train and onboard new sales associates.

The major functions of the job include both customer service/sales and management responsibilities. These are outlined below:

Customer Service and Sales Responsibilities

  • Engage customers in products and services by building good rapport, answering their questions, and offering targeted information about other products and services based on their interests and needs
  • Drive sales of clients' products and services through direct marketing strategies
  • Use excellent communication skills both verbally and non-verbally to pitch products and services to store members
  • Identify and expertly manage the needs of each customer, answering their questions accurately and articulately
  • Maintain the kiosk area’s image as clean, professional and tidy at all times
  • Keep customer’s personal information confidential and stored safely
  • Record number of customer interactions, inquiries, and comments with details of any actions taken
  • Receive training in marketing and sales techniques in a team-based environment
  • Apply the skills and techniques learned during training period
  • Participate in all scheduled training and team meetings at the office

Management Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all levels of business operations
  • Provide training to new reps in sales, customer service and promotional marketing strategies
  • Cross-train into every area of the business
  • Conduct interviews with qualified candidates
  • Onboard new employees through electronic and physical paperwork, to include I-9 and W-4 documentation
  • Negotiate pay and work schedule for new and existing employees
  • Manage both individual and team responsibilities
  • Manage territories and new teams as our company continues to expand into new industries
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members regarding sales and professional goals

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields is a plus
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build rapport with customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Ability to commute to San Jose, CA
